Caregivers and clinicians

A dignified, portable tool to support patients without drawing attention to their condition.

Athletes and active users

Spit during training without a separate cup or bottle. Perform without the distraction.

Recovery

Managing oral secretions after surgery or during recovery shouldn't require a clinical machine or makeshift solutions. SALVA gives you independence wherever you are.

HOW IT WORKS

No one should have to choose between dignity and their health.

SALVA has two completely separate chambers.
The upper chamber holds clean drinking water, accessible through a standard water spout.
The lower chamber collects saliva discreetly through a separate spout with a trap-door mechanism that prevents any cross-contamination.
No electricity. No motors. No noise.
Just a portable design that looks like a regular water bottle. Because your privacy matters.

Built with care and credibility

Designed through close listening to clinicians, caregivers, and real user needs. Developed in partnership with university design and innovation programs. Currently in the prototype and early pilot phase.

I'm Daniela Ibarra-Hernandez, founder of SALVA and a first-generation college student from Denver. I didn't set out to build a startup. I set out to fix something that kept being ignored. After watching people I love lose their dignity managing something as basic as saliva. After finding zero products designed with them in mind. I built one. SALVA is patent-pending, community-built, and coming to Kickstarter. This is just the beginning.
